ORT's Graduate School of Business launched the Women Leaders Development Program, which aims to promote the presence of women in senior management positions within organizations.

Among other benefits, greater diversity in leadership positions broadens the range of perspectives and improves the quality of decision-making, leading to better results for companies.

The Women Leaders Development Program invites professional women to turn their challenges into opportunities, said Dr. Ximena Fernández, academic coordinator of the school’s Human Resources programs. “At the same time, it is a call to organizations that wish to promote strategies ensuring women’s presence in decision-making.”

“Both in Uruguay and around the world, barriers for women in the professional sphere continue to exist,” added the academic. “The program seeks to shine a light on this issue and provide tools for the development of effective leadership, for both women and organizations, on the path toward equity.”
