"Try It" program

Graduates of the Systems Engineering program were interviewed by El Observador about their innovative program, Probátela!, which they developed as their final thesis project.

The software, created by Joaquín Sosa, Ignacio Giménez, Carlos Brehem, and Carlos Souza, allows users to try on clothes without having to go to stores or undress.

"Try It On!" is a virtual fitting room that uses Microsoft's Kinect technology to create a 3D model of the user. Once the model is created, you can drag and drop clothing items to see if they fit.

According to its creators in the interview, “the program is also a boon for the world of online shopping, where people often buy clothes based on a photo that doesn’t accurately reflect the garment’s size and, as a result, risk paying for something they won’t be able to wear.”
