The 2023 Young University Rankings, which THE has been publishing since 2021, evaluates the same indicators as the World University Rankings—one of the most respected and widely recognized university ranking systems —but focuses exclusively on the youngest institutions.

This year's list includes 605 universities and is led by:

  1. Nanyang Technological University (Singapore)
  2. The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Hong Kong)
  3. Université Paris Sciences et Lettres (France)

In addition, another 358 universities are listed in the Young University Rankings with “reporter” status, meaning they provided data but did not meet the eligibility criteria for a ranking.

Officially recognized as a university in 1996, ORT is one of these “reporter” institutions and, just like last year, is the only one in the country to be included in this ranking.
