ORT and Hebrew University: A Video Conference from Afar

As part of the 2004 Maimonides Year commemorative events, ORT, in collaboration with the University of Buenos Aires, held a videoconference from the Hebrew University.

The videoconference took place on May 20 at ORT's Pocitos Campus.

At the event, leading scholars discussed the ethical, scientific, and legal aspects of the life and work of the physician, jurist, and philosopher Moses Maimonides.

The panelists were Dr. Shalom Rosenberg, Dr. Shmuel Kottek, and Dr. Nahum Rakover.

It was coordinated in Israel by Dr. Leonardo Senkman, the academic coordinator for Latin America at the International Center for University Education in Jewish Civilization at the Hebrew University.

In Argentina, the event was coordinated by Dr. Celina Lértora.

This event was held under the academic auspices of the International Center for the University Teaching of Jewish Civilization at the Hebrew University, an institution with which Universidad ORT Uruguay an agreement to carry out joint academic activities.
