During the ceremony, the Minister of Education and Culture, Dr. Leonardo Guzmán; the Director of Student Affairs, Dr. Miguel Bresciano; and the rector Universidad ORT Uruguay, Dr. Jorge Grunberg, all addressed the audience. Dr. Grunberg gave a presentation on the most significant events that took place at ORT in 2002.
In turn, the deans of each ORT faculty introduced the award-winning faculty members:
- School of Engineering: Isi Haim, Engineer.
- School of Communication and Design: Prof. René Fuentes
- School of Business and Social Sciences: María Cristina Tolosa, CPA.
- School of Architecture: Bernardo García Texeira, Engineer.
In his remarks, the Minister of Education and Culture highlighted the quantitative and, above all, qualitative growth of Universidad ORT Uruguay, emphasizing the quality of its teaching, the opportunities it provides for access to education, and its enthusiastic commitment to Uruguayan society.
