Teams from various sports represented the university: men’s and women’s soccer, men’s basketball, handball, men’s and women’s volleyball, hockey, and padel.
Also participating in the competition were: the Catholic University of Uruguay, the University of the Republic, Colonia, the Naval Academy, the University of Montevideo, the Artigas Teachers’ Institute, the Military Academy, and the University of Business.
The spirit of competition and collaboration fostered in these situations strengthens teamwork among the staff.
"The Mercosur Cup is unique in that the various venues are located close to one another, which allowed the ORT teams to support one another throughout the tournament, greatly enriching the experience and fostering a sense of camaraderie among them," said Camilo Rodríguez, coordinator of ORT's Social and Sports Activities department.
