The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at ORT’s School of Graduate Business Studies (EPN) remains among the top 25 in the region, according to the 2021 Latin American MBA Ranking published by América Economía magazine.
In this edition, published on May 24, 2021, the MBA program ranked 23rd. This marks the seventh consecutive year that it has remained among the top 25 in Latin America (see previous editions). Furthermore, for more than 25 years, it has been the only MBA program in the country to appear in this ranking.
América Economía highlighted the“resilience”of the business schools that managed to remain among the region’s elite despite the impact of COVID-19 on society as a whole. It also emphasized the“adaptability” ofprograms that have been forced “to move online.”
The ranking was compiled based on Academic Strength, Knowledge Production, Internationalization and Diversity, Network Power, and Return on Investment.
ORT’s MBA program stood out in the Internationalization and Diversity category, which assessed the school’s international connections, the gender distribution (with a 1:1 ratio being favored), the geographic diversity of international faculty, the universities where full-time faculty earned their highest degrees, and the student body. In this category, it ranked 18th.
It also ranked highly in the "Academic Strength" category, which assessed the number of full-time faculty members and the quality of their academic training, as well as the number of part-time faculty members and their business experience. In this category, the MBA program ranked 19th.
Finally, it ranked 21st in Network Power, which took into account the executive positions held by graduates and their career trajectories, a graduate satisfaction survey, and the existence of alumni associations and career placement centers.
This year, the top three spots in the ranking are held by EAESP - Fundação Getulio Vargas FGV (Brazil), Adolfo Ibáñez University (Chile), and the University of Chile.
