ORT students will complete an internship in India

Nine students from Universidad ORT Uruguay been selected from among 600 applicants by the software company Tata Consultancy Services.

Tata Consultancy Services, India's leading software development company, issued a public call for applications to students, attracting more than 600 applicants for 15 open positions.

As a result, nine of these positions were awarded to students from Universidad ORT Uruguay who are pursuing degrees in Systems Engineering, Systems Analysis, andSoftware Engineering.

The selected students were: Daniel Benedikt (Systems Engineering), Rosina Marmion (Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Analysis), Santiago Priario (Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Analysis), Cecilia Giusto (Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Analysis), Jimena Saavedra (Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Analysis), Martín Bouza (Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Analysis), Martín Lujan (Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Analysis), Horst Tessman (Programmer Analyst), and Rafael Pérez (Programmer Analyst).

The students will complete a two-month internship in India. Upon their return, they will begin working in the Montevideo Free Trade Zone, the location chosen by the company to establish its operations in Uruguay, helping to create a technology hub specializing in information technology.
