May 27, 2014
Erienne Jackson, a research assistant at the Biotechnology Laboratory of the School of Engineering, and Rodrigo Barreto, a graduate of the Biotechnology program, participated in the "Nano for Health" Summer School, which took place from May 20 to 23 in Buenos Aires.

The Summer School focused specifically on the use of nanotechnology in healthcare and nanomedicine, providing participants with a unique opportunity to acquire and share knowledge about the latest advances in nanotechnology, nanoscience, and new production technologies in these critical fields.

During this event, special emphasis was placed on addressing the existing gap between research and industry. Topics related to ethics, intellectual property, and safety in the use of nanomaterials were also included.

Experts from the European Union (EU) presented the EU’s policies on nanotechnologies and provided participants with an overview of funding opportunities for research and innovation.

The event was organized by the association Nanosciences, Nanotechnologies, Materials and new Production Technologies Deployment in Latin American countries (NMP-DeLA).
