March 2, 2005
Guillermo Carbonell, a graduate of the Bachelor’s program in Audiovisual Communication and currently a teaching assistant in that program, was the only Uruguayan invited by The Berlin International Film Festival.

The invitation was in connection with the graduate's participation in the Berlinale Talent Campus week, which took place from February 12 to 17.

Workshops were held there, where participants exchanged ideas with international stars and colleagues.

Mr. Carbonell was selected from among 500 young filmmakers from around the world.

In addition, Mr. Carbonell was selected, along with 49 other participants from the Berlinale Talent Campus, to attend Berlin Angels Day, which consisted of an extra day in Berlin featuring a talk and mentoring session led by an industry professional.

The graduate of the School of Communication attended the workshop "How to Make Low-Budget Films" with Nicolai Albrech, a German independent filmmaker.
