Physics experiment using smartphonesOn August 20, 2015, from 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the workshop “Physics Experiments with Smartphones” will be held at the university’s Downtown Campus.

The workshop led by Prof. Martín Monteiro, coordinator of the Physics Laboratory, aims to familiarize high school teachers with an accessible and simple tool for conducting physics experiments and demonstrations.

During the workshop, we will demonstrate some simple physics experiments that make use of the sensors found in many mobile devices, such as Android-powered phones and tablets.

The workshop is intended for high school physics teachers and lab assistants at all grade levels.

We recommend, if possible, that you have an Android device (phone or tablet), a basic understanding of how the Android system works, a laptop, and experience with spreadsheets.
