Prof. Analía Segal

Interview conducted as part of the conference: “Video Games in Educational Contexts.”

Analía Segal is a professor of psychology and education. Since 2008, she has directed TizaPapelByte, which researches and develops digital resources for addressing issues on the contemporary agenda. She is currently a member of research teams focusing on education and ICT at FLACSO Argentina, Ibertic, and the National Institute for Teacher Training under the Ministry of Education.

During his visit to Uruguay in July 2015 for the conference "Video Games in Educational Contexts," he answers the following questions:

  • Based on your experience on the interdisciplinary team, how can we learn through video games? How can we incorporate video games into the classroom?
  • Could you describe the characteristics of an environment conducive to incorporating video games into education?
  • Do teachers need to develop digital skills to work with video games? Which ones?
