The graduates presented their personal perspectives on design or animation through an exhibition and a public presentation.
Ramiro Alvez Reherman - Bachelor's Degree in Animation and Video Games
“For me, design is the way in which I express my tastes, my personality, and who I am through a product. As a child, I always wanted to incorporate elements that I would have liked to experience and enjoy in other people’s video games—now I can do just that!”
María Virginia Ambrosoni - Bachelor's Degree in Animation and Video Games
“Design is creating not for oneself but for others.”
María Florencia Ameneiros - Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design
For me, design is the sum of elements derived from the development of a concept, which is what gives life and identity to the project. I view fashion as architecture for the body, since it shares the same basic and fundamental purpose: to clothe it. It is the combination of experiences, artistic expressions, and tastes that define us. It expresses who we are and who we want to be. As a fashion designer, I address needs based on my own style and inspiration, incorporating a touch of current trends.
María Ximena Balparda - Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design
“Conceive, innovate, reflect. Pencil in hand, blank canvas. The first paths begin to take shape in an infinite world of possibilities. I move forward and backward, seeking to evoke an emotion, seeking to convey a message. Design is the final result of a restless search for new answers—seemingly simple, yet it reveals everything. It is the expression and reflection of eloquent concepts; it is loving the environment, being spontaneous, and enjoying every step.”
Valentina Baptista - Bachelor of Fashion Design
“Design is a whole that is everywhere. It is the past—history; the present—reality; and the future—imagination—all converging in a single object. It is a precise moment, eternally linked to its surroundings. My passion is to give shape to that moment and transform it into matter, so that it evokes sensations in those who experience it.”
Federico Boix Strausz - Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design
“Many people ask the same question: What does a graphic designer do? My first answer is very simple: ‘Graphic design is everything.’ It encompasses everything that uses visuals to communicate, regardless of the method or style. Visual order, synthesis, and geometric shapes are fundamental pillars in my work.”
Florencia Raquel Bonilla - Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design
“In my mind, designing is an explosion of elements and ideas that evoke feelings in me, incorporating nostalgia and emotions that are part of who I am and that consciously and unconsciously reflect themselves in everything I do. I seek to find visual harmony and a balance between the outside world and my inner self, giving each product symbolic and emotional value through the use of textiles to create different textures on them.”
Magdalena Cacciavillani - Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design
“My journey in design is usually the longest one. I identify with teamwork and being part of the hands-on process; with well-grounded design and a methodology that sets priorities and channels creativity. In every project, I seek to improve and explore new things. Because that is the reward I value most: knowing that today I draw a little better than yesterday, that I’ve learned new techniques, that I’ve gained something more. Because research enriches me, creating brings me joy, and the unexpected motivates me.”
Tiziana María Carrau - Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design
“Design is centered on the human being. It can incorporate technology and economics, but it begins with what a person needs or may come to need. It seeks to understand culture and context even before ideas begin to take shape. Design embodies aesthetics, image, and fashion. But it is more than just aesthetics and function; it is about giving meaning to something—to the experience.”
Brunella Lucía Cataldi - Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design
“Design is the set of processes that lead to a clear and functional outcome. To achieve this, we must take into account the context in which we live, which requires a critical observation of society. Design is a discipline that evolves and requires constant learning and updating. Our role is to communicate visually in order to positively impact our environment. We do this with responsibility, creativity, and knowledge.”
Diego Marcelo Chiola - Bachelor of Industrial Design
“Through design, we create products that will become part of people’s daily lives. Therefore, observing these situations inspires new solutions without neglecting the technological aspect.”
María Valentina Chiola - Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design
“Designing means following your own instincts, exploring, and creating through all your senses. It means setting yourself apart from the rest; it means leaving a part of yourself in every project. It means finding your own world, your own style, no matter what it takes to get there.”
Jimena Cuenca Bonino - Bachelor’s Degree in Animation and Video Games
“There’s no way to define what design is. It’s something entirely subjective and conceptual that can’t be described in simple words.
It’s more like an experience. And experiences are best understood when you live them, not when they’re described.”
Luis Pedro Díaz Vitarella - Bachelor of Industrial Design
“Industrial design presents us with the challenge of how to solve problems. The result matters just as much as how we arrive at it. I approach my projects holistically: Every aspect of the project counts. My process is methodical. My designs are coherent and functional, without neglecting aesthetics. I produce results rich in detail, as I believe these are what make a design a good design.”
Magdalena Domínguez Barboza - Bachelor of Graphic Design
“Design surrounds us and plays a decisive role in many of the choices we make every day, at different levels of awareness. I enjoy exploring the ideas and details that can bring about significant changes in how we perceive something that goes beyond the visual.”
Natalia Epíscopo - Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design
“Designing is about awakening the child within us. The one who unleashes creativity and imagination in a naturally free world. It is grounding the adult we are to accompany that child with lived experience—the experience that tells us that freedom is guided by needs, functions, and requirements that must not be overlooked. Designing is attending to and understanding the other, allowing us to somehow embody the freedom that defines us.”
Lucía Paola Etchemendy - Bachelor of Industrial Design
“Trial and error, testing, success—that’s what it’s all about: not settling for the first idea and continuing to improve, grow, and learn.
For me, design is an adventure, and every new project is a challenge.”
Andrea Lucía González Brena - Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design
“My perspective on design begins with maintaining the interest that led me to enroll five years ago, when I barely knew what I was choosing. But this interest is the only thing that has stayed with me throughout my entire degree program. Because of it, I endured long sleepless nights, muscle spasms, and tears in search of the perfect result. It’s all because of it. And yet, it’s an essential element; without it, design is just another trade.”
Daniel Enrique Guitelman - Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia Design
“I see design as a visual solution to a conceptual problem. That is why I always seek the best solution, considering and prioritizing functionality and usability when designing. I identify with minimalist design, whose main objective and challenge, I believe, is the search for a simple visual solution to a complex problem; the simpler the solution and the more complex the problem, the better.”
Natalia Maggiolo - Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design
“Fashion is excess and scarcity; it is colors, lengths, and shapes; it is shaped by culture, religion, and customs. Fashion is what we identify with, what allows us to be ourselves. It is also what lets us play different roles whenever we need to. It is what sometimes amuses our friends or makes our families blush. As a designer, I like to observe and study all those audiences who, although they differ on the outside, remain children on the inside who dare to try, take risks, and play. We live immersed in a world full of differences, where the only thing that unites us at times is ‘Fashion,’ and that is why this is what I want to dedicate myself to.”
Pierina Marchesoni - Bachelor’s Degree in Animation and Video Games
“It’s about conceiving and shaping an idea with the necessary information to bring it to life later. That idea is either a solution or serves a specific purpose. For example, if I want to evoke fear in my game, I modify any element over which I have control. Once it’s defined, you start working on it, and as you progress, you make changes based on what the project requires.”
Anahid Maroukian - Bachelor of Graphic Design
“Design is about fulfilling the need for effective and creative communication. To achieve this, I believe one must capture the essence of each project and convey it using the appropriate tools so that others can perceive it.”
María Cruz Olaso Pereyra - Bachelor of Fashion Design
“What defines me as a designer is my work with textures, a variety of materials, vibrant colors, diverse prints, and my play with volumes and shapes. I strive for my designs to be creative and to convey a message, making an impact on the viewer.”
Alice María Otegui - Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design
“I’d like to define myself as an artist rather than a fashion designer. It’s a broad term, but for me, design is definitely an art form—one that conveys a message, tells a story, channels a feeling, and, hopefully, moves others. Behind each of my designs lies a mood, a concern. I am passionate about the entire process, and every detail must have a reason. Above all, I am inspired by art and the complexity of people, with their many facets. Through my work, I try to convey irreverence, humor, sensitivity, and a lot of joy. I strive for my designs to reflect a special sensitivity toward nature, both in the choice of materials and in the processes. I believe in the designer’s responsibility toward the environment and the society around them, and I strive to make sustainability a part of all my work. In particular, I am passionate about reusing discarded materials: they possess a special charm, a history acquired over time, and when combined with new elements, they can be transformed into completely unique garments with an even deeper message. I am interested in the timelessness of design, and I seek beauty beyond trends or preconceptions. I am Alice Otegui, and I am on a constant quest for inspiration.”
Virginia Mikaela Rodrigues de Sá Martínez - Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia Design
“Design is a constant process of experimentation; it’s trial and error, more trials, and finally getting it right. It’s about choosing the solution we believe is best to meet a need from among the infinite number of possible solutions. It’s about setting aside many possibilities and taking a chance—with a degree of uncertainty—that the chosen option is the best one. A blend of imagination, inspiration, senses, thought, and necessity. Every design is a little piece of its designer; it’s that piece that completes the puzzle that is us.”
Lucía Sánchez Barberousse - Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design
“The role of a designer is to have the ability to create small worlds—systems of graphic elements and ideas born from information and our own creativity—to solve the communication challenges we face.”
Ignacio Sánchez Fabra - Bachelor of Graphic Design
“Graphic design is a communication tool based on subjective concepts such as aesthetics and beauty, which are unique to each culture; it combines elements such as color, typography, illustration, and photography. My challenge as a designer is to strike a balance between these concepts.”
Tatiana Szyfer - Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design
“Interpretation, ideas, design, transformation—it all comes from the same place. They are part of my creative expression. What emerges and where it goes is almost an involuntary act. I enjoy that creative space; I let it express itself, I don’t set limits. I create, I undo, and I go through a process of experimentation until I achieve a result that I identify with and that, in turn, works and fits within the context.”
Estefanía Vilar - Bachelor of Graphic Design
“Research, observe, experiment, take risks, sketch, move forward, pause, look, erase, and start over. Losing myself in a world of colors, shapes, textures, and typefaces—this is my journey through the design process, a journey I enjoy and that makes every project a challenge that allows me to grow constantly, both professionally and personally.”
Tatiana Zooby - Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design
“We design by letting our imagination run wild, without limits or preconceptions. The most interesting thing about following this path is that you are the only link between an idea and the tangible world. Imagination has no limits. The real world does. We are the intermediaries between those two spaces. Amidst all this creativity, we seek feasible ideas that solve problems. That’s how important the designer’s role is.”
