Dr. Norma Pontet, coordinator of the graduate programs in finance and professor of managerial accounting in the School of Administration and Social Sciences, was appointed vice chair of the Accounting Research Committee of the Inter-American Accounting Association (AIC) for the 2018–2019 term.
In addition, Cecilia Jorge, a professor of Advanced Accounting and General Accounting and the associate academic coordinator of the Public Accounting program, was appointed to the Inter-American Technical Commission on Accounting Research of the AIC.
Both appointments took place on May 31, 2018.
