Professor led a workshop at the "Innovation 2012" conference

Dr. Inés Kereki, Professor of Programming in the School of Engineering, led an introductory workshop on “Scratch” for secondary school teachers at the “Innovation 2012” conference, which took place from September 21 to 23, 2012, in the department of Artigas. 

Dr. Kereki was invited by Prof. Alicia Ronzoni, a teacher at Liceo No. 3 in Artigas, who participated in “Scratch Day 2012” organized by the faculty.

“Innovation 2012” featured an exhibition of work by teachers from across the country who have implemented ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) in the classroom.

The main objectives of the conference are:
- To promote the use of ICT in the classroom across all subjects and interdisciplinary work based on the implementation of multidisciplinary digital projects.
- To establish a forum for debate that fosters the exchange of opinions and promotes a vision of 21st-century education within the framework of ICT.
- To share and compare experiences in the use of ICT to strengthen education.
