Professor Moya will participate in an international seminar on sustainable industrialized housing in Chile

The event will take place on April 1 and 6, 2024, in Chillán and Concepción, Chile. It will feature international experts, as well as companies and public and private institutions that have embraced this trend toward sustainable architecture.

The Laura Moya, Architect, Ph.D., professor, researcher, and academic coordinator of the Specialization Diploma in Design, Calculation, and Construction of Wood Structures at the School of Architecture of Universidad ORT Uruguay, will participate as a guest speaker at the seminar “Sustainable Industrialized Housing: A Driver for Climate Change Adaptation and Development of the Construction Market in the Ñuble Region.”

The professor will present “Integration of Architecture and Sustainability in Industrialized Housing in Uruguay” on April 3. The event is organized by the University of Bío-Bío and sponsored by the Chilean government agency Corfo (Corporation for the Promotion of Production).

The purpose of this meeting is to foster the development of an entrepreneurial ecosystem and promote industrialized housing, using sustainable materials, among stakeholders in the construction industry.
