Dr. Efrain Buksman, associate professor of physics in the School of Engineering, presented the paper “Quantum correction in an environment at finite temperature,” co-authored with Dr. André Fonseca, professor of analog electronics and automatic control in the school, and the article “Isotropic error propagation in Shor’s quantum error-correcting code,” co-authored with Dr. Fonseca and Ilan Cohn, an electronics engineering graduate, at the 6th Quantum Information School and Workshop.
The event, organized by the Brazilian Center for Physics Research and the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development, took place from August 21 to 25, 2017, in Paraty, Brazil.
