Professor took an academic trip to Paris

Franz Mayr, an associate professor and deputy academic coordinator of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, traveled to Paris to present a research paper.

From June 29 to July 9, Franz Mayr, an associate professor and deputy academic coordinator of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, took an academic trip to Paris, France.

During his visit, he presented the paper “Towards efficient active learning of PDFA”—co-authored with Sergio Yovine, Federico Pan, Nicolás Basset, and Thao Dang—at the Workshop on Learning and Automata (LearnAut), as part of the49th EATCS International Colloquium on Automata, Languages, and Programming (ICALP), organized by the European Association for Theoretical Computer Science (EATCS), from July 4 to 8, 2022.

He also held meetings with Dr. Peter Habermehl and Dr. Eugene Asarin, researchers at the Institut de Recherche en Informatique Fondamentale (IRIF). He then traveled to Grenoble, where he visited the Verimag laboratory and met with two of the co-authors of the aforementioned article, Dr. Thao Dang and Dr. Nicolás Basset, and presented the work at a seminar organized by that laboratory.
