It combines Spanish language courses for international students and Uruguayan culture with training in Design Thinking, robotics workshops, and Scratch programming language workshops, as well as academic visits to institutions and industries.
It also includes a series of talks by prominent Uruguayan leaders and entrepreneurs, who will share their experiences on the topic of Women in Technology and Business, as well as guided tours.
Mario Fernández, Dean of the School of Engineering, welcomed the students, who were accompanied by Sahid Rosado Lausell, Camp Director of programme Women in Engineering programme at the College of Engineering, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Angie Wolters, Assistant Director of Women in Engineering.
