Project Fair

August 30, 2019
The final Project Fair of the year was held, drawing a large turnout of companies and students.

For the first time this year, and in order to meet the needs of companies, two career fairs were held: one for engineering and computer science degree programs, and another exclusively for software analyst and information technology analyst programs.

According to the faculty’s Graduate Affairs Office, this is an opportunity to foster ties between academia and the business community—a gathering that gives students the chance to learn about the sector’s real needs and develop innovative projects.

On August 21, a career fair for university students was held, featuring the following companies and startups: AGESIC, ANII, Botia, Boxes, Evertec/ ICT4V, Formisur, GeneXus, Krooping, Mercado Libre, Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture, and Fisheries, Ministry of Industry, Energy, and Mining, Neocort, Ladrón de Palabras, Plato Lleno, and Expensas.

Meanwhile, on August 28, projects were presented by students in short-term programs from the following companies: the Ministry of Industry, Energy, and Mining; Gerdau Laisa; Mercado Libre; Movistar; INGENCA; GeneXus; Universidad ORT Uruguay; Vatio; and Plato Lleno.

This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Software Factory Laboratory, the Academic Coordination Office for the Software Analyst and Information Technology Analyst programs, and the faculty’s Graduate Affairs Office.
