Project Fair: Academia-Industry Collaboration

The second Project Fair of the year was held online in August. This event connects academia with industry through real-world and innovative projects.

The Fair is held twice a year and is a collaborative effort between the Software Factory Laboratory, the Academic Coordination Office for the Software Analyst and Information Technology Analyst programs, and the Graduate Coordination Office of the School of Engineering.

On August 22 and 23, companies presented their project proposals to upper-level students in the Systems Engineering and Systems Science programs.

The following companies and projects participated: GoGrow, Ministry of Industry, Energy, and Mining—Energy Efficiency Project, December Labs, Bee Seller, ANA Mediciones Sabyl, Ceaosa, Accurancy BI, EviMed, Enrique Roig Curbelo, and Evertec.

On August 29 and 30, it was time for the presentation of the short-term programs: Software Analyst and Information Technology Analyst. The following companies and ministries participated in the event: Alkilate, Depptö.com, December Labs, the Ministry of Social Development, Ceaosa, the Uruguayan Rowing Federation, GLlobalvet, Tutak Corporate Communications, and the Ministry of Industry, Energy, and Mining.

These meetings will foster new connections, and students will work on their final capstone projects, which will last between six months and a year.
