Throughout the day, a variety of workshops focused on science and technology outreach were held, with the aim of bringing knowledge to the public and inspiring future careers in science, technology, and engineering.
The workshops offered were as follows:
- Learn to code with App Inventor
This workshop gave participants the opportunity to learn how to design and develop mobile apps for Android devices using App Inventor, a visual and intuitive programming environment.
Thanks to its hands-on approach, participants were able to develop a functional app in less than 30 minutes, providing an accessible and motivating introduction to the world of programming.
- Your First Hardware Project (Arduino)
This workshop gave participants the opportunity to apply programming and robotics concepts through hands-on work with Arduino boards.
It was a learning experience designed to introduce participants to the use of these boards, which are known for their versatility, ease of programming, and potential for developing hardware projects in an accessible way.
During the workshop, examples of real-world applications using Arduino were presented, and participants were taught how to use the Arduino Uno, guiding students through their first steps in the world of hardware and electronics.
In addition, an informational session was held on the various options for studying engineering at ORT, accompanied by interactive activities that encouraged student participation and sparked their interest.
The event aimed to bring technological research closer to the community and encourage young people to pursue careers in science.
