The chapter “The Problem of Establishing the Central Bank as an Autonomous Organization in Uruguay: The debate in the 1930s and reform attempts between 1940 and 1965,” written by Marcos Baudean, associate professor of Research Methodology at the School of Administration and Social Sciences, was published in the book Banking and Monetary History of Latin America (19th and 20th Centuries): New Perspectives by Carlos Marichal and Thiago Gambi, published in the city of Santander by the Catholic University of Peru.
