ORT Rambla: The University's New Space

Starting March 7, 2022, Universidad ORT Uruguay has new academic facility, ORT Rambla. This strategically located facility, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, will host graduate courses, executive education programs, and advanced undergraduate courses offered by the School of Management and Social Sciences.

Classrooms equipped with the latest technology

The 10 classrooms at ORT Rambla are equipped with HyFlex®, allowing students to take classes both remotely and in person. The name HyFlex® comes from combining the first letters of the words “hybrid” and flexible.”

This technology has camera located in the classroom that tracks the teacher's movements and voice.

Students who choose to take the class online can clearly hear what the instructor is saying, as well as their classmates’ questions and answers, and they can also see and hear their classmates, thanks to the high-quality audio and video provided by HyFlex®.

ORT Rambla offers the best resources for teachers and students, with advanced infrastructure, ensuring that both virtual and in-person classes take place under optimal conditions. 

In a dynamic and growing area

The space is known for its accessibility and has spacious, acoustically treated has with excellent natural light and a spectacular view. has also has classrooms for online courses for blended-learning graduate programs (blended), fully equipped to deliver high-quality remote classes.

It is located in a dynamic, growing area, surrounded by offices and international organizations. It has ample parking space, as well as various access lines and great mobility. This new space was created in response to the university’s growth over the past three years, during which new graduate programs, undergraduate degrees, and short-term courses were launched, and in-person instruction was combined with online learning. This initiative is also part of the ongoing construction project for the School of Graduate Business building. 

ORT decided to build on the lessons learned during the pandemic, giving students the option to choose between online and in-person learning even after health restrictions are lifted.
Most of the graduate and executive programs offered by the Graduate School of Business will be held at the new ORT Rambla academic space. The Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Administration and the Certified Public Accountant programs will teach some courses from the final semesters in this new space.
