On December 2, 2021, the 8th National Illustration Award ceremony, organized by the National Directorate of Culture of the Ministry of Education and Culture, took place at the National Museum of Visual Arts (MNAV). Among the winners were students and graduates from the School of Communication and Design at Universidad ORT Uruguay.
The ORT students and graduates who were recognized are:
Category A: Children's and Young Adult Fiction
First Prize: " Fiesta de Jardín " by Juan Manuel Díaz Del Pino, agraphic design graduate.
Category B: Single illustration on the theme “Connected Universes”
First Prize: " Mural of Connected Universes " by Álvaro Zunini, Bachelor of Graphic Design.
Honorable mentions in Category B:
"Subtle Connections " by Anahid Hagobián, a senior in the Graphic Design program.
"Guardians of the Water " by María Cecilia Rodríguez Oddone, B.A. in Graphic Design.
