While conducting the brand analysis, Rocío Silva—a student in the Fashion Design program—noted thatBalmes 43 needed to “expand its product line,” so she began working on a collection of casual clothing and, at the same time, on a collection of prints to add to the line and give the brand a unique edge.
The goal set for her Integrative Project, then, was to create a capsule collection featuring 13 complete outfits designed for semi-formal events, targeting Uruguayan women. The goal was to expand the product line and, consequently, increase the brand’s annual sales. Drawing on the Spanish inspiration that defines Balmes 43, a collection of prints was created and applied to the garments.

According to Silva, “the process was incredibly labor-intensive, involved a lot of research, and required taking many aspects of the brand into account.” She also sought to reflect what she wants to convey as a designer.
I really connect with the textures, the feel, and the visual aspects: it was truly rewarding to blend the brand's characteristics with my own creative vision.
