Juan Andrés González, Federico Martínez, and Lucas Rodríguez, on behalf of Las Nazarenas, Ltd.
Juan Andrés González (Bachelor of Multimedia Design), Federico Martínez (Bachelor of Industrial Design), and Lucas Rodríguez (Bachelor of Graphic Design) developed their capstone project for Las Nazarenas Ltda.
Las Nazarenas is a leather goods shop founded 40 years ago that “offers high-quality products and has tremendous experience in the field,” said Juan Andrés González, a student in the Bachelor of Multimedia Design program. “The problem is that, from a business and communications standpoint, the company has remained stuck in the past.” When the project began, the leather goods shop had very little presence in the digital world; it only had a Facebook page.
“The company was open to ideas and proposals to address this issue, which is why we came up with the idea of creating an e-commerce website to showcase the products and allow customers to make purchases, producing audiovisual content for social media, designing advertising banners for the new site, and more—all while maintaining a visual style that reflects the company and its expertise,” explained the designer. “The collaboration with the leather goods shop was excellent; both the owners and employees were willing to participate in the video production as well as the product photography,” he added. “I believe the project was beneficial both for the company and on a personal level, as it opens up a new sales channel for them and gave me a wealth of technical experience and insight into working with businesses.”
Ignacio Martinis, for La libélula libros
Ignacio Martinis chose La libélula libros for his inclusive project.
Martinis explained that the company wanted to expand its online presence, so he focused his efforts on the online side of the business.
He created an online store and also developed an app that allows users to retrieve book information by scanning their ISBN codes (a unique identifier for each book).
Lucas De León, Marcela Balladares, and Cecilia Guggieri, for Matías Bornisich
Lucas de León (Bachelor of Multimedia Design), Marcela Balladares (Bachelor of Industrial Design), and Cecilia Guggieri (Bachelor of Graphic Design) developed their capstone project for Matías Bornisich.
In terms of design, the only assets the company had were its logo and a few labels. “I liked the idea of creating something new rather than working on existing elements and modifying them,” said De León. He focused on the concept of reward. For example, treating yourself to a Brucke craft beer after working all week. To do this, he considered who the target audience would be: people between the ages of 23 and 40 with a high socioeconomic status.
He created a video featuring a series of everyday situations that call for a Brucke celebration.
Finally, he mentioned that "the other party was very satisfied."
