Research Assistant gave a talk on quantum computing

April 27, 2022
Carolina Allende, an electronics engineer and research assistant with the Quantum Computing and Informatics Research Group, participated in the Pie & AI Montevideo event: Vision Transformers & Quantum Neural Networks, which took place on April 26.

Allende gave a talk titled"Quantum Neural Networks: What, How, andWhy," in which he began with the basic concepts of quantum mechanics and quantum computing to explore what quantum neural networks are, how to feed classical data into them and train quantum networks, and discussed their potential advantages and limitations compared to classical deep learning.

The event was organized by Marvik in partnership with DeepLearning.ai.
