“Once again, nature is calling us to action amid a climate crisis that is affecting one of life’s most essential resources. The water crisis we are currently facing presents an opportunity to critically examine the need for government policies on water management,” states the press release in which the SAU invites participants to this forum for discussion and reflection on the water crisis and architecture.

The event will take place this Thursday, July 20, at 6:00 p.m. It will be a hybrid discussion session that will present two different approaches:
Public Policy: Scenarios, Strategies, and Programs

- Alberto Manganelli, Executive Director of CeReGAS.
- Civil Engineer Daniel Greif, former director of DINAGUA.
- Agricultural Engineer Manuel Chabalgoity, former director of DINOT,
- Virginia García, Architect, Director of Planning for the Canelones Municipal Government.
Water in Architecture and Construction: Regulations and Practices for the Efficient Use of Water
They state:
- Fernando Tomeo, Architect, G5 instructor in the Department of Construction at FADU.
- Lucia Chabalgoity, Architect, member of the Department of Artificial Landscaping and the Sustainability Center at FADU.
- Gimena Bentos Pereira, M.Sc. (Eng.), Environmental Management Division of the Municipality of Montevideo.
- Ricardo Romero, Architect, Coordinator of the Construction Methods Course at the School of Architecture, Universidad ORT Uruguay.
