Migration flows, with the levels of conflict and tragedy they entail, are not a "novelty" of this century.
What is "new," however, is the way in which the event is framed—that is, migration as a media phenomenon.
In this regard, a reflection is needed that brings into play a plurality of approaches: an academic and reflective perspective on the role of professionals and the media in the face of this phenomenon.
