Lecture: “Being an Artist in the Hollywood Entertainment Industry”

On October 23, 2014, the lecture “Being an Artist in Hollywood’s Professional World” was given by animator Woodward, Assistant Professor in the Department of Visual Arts/Animation at Brigham Young University (United States).

The speaker discussed the world of cinema and the artist, and the challenge of channeling creativity onto the blank page while meeting the industry’s standards and deadlines.

Woodward holds a Master of Fine Arts from the Academy of Art University (United States). He is animator creator of storyboards and animatics for films such as *The Avengers*, *Spider-Man*, *Iron Man*, *Thor*, and *The Iron Giant*, among others.

He was an Animation Instructor for ACME. Virtual Training Network (Warner Brothers Studios), Associates in Art, California, and The Academy of Art University, California. His latest project is the creation of the storyboard for the Brazilian telenovela “Rastros de mentiras” on the Globo network, currently airing on Teledoce.
