- 6th ITU Green Standards Week: September 5–9 at the Conference Center, 1.5th floor.
- 17th Ibero-American Conference on Digital Cities: September 8 at the Conference Center, 1.5th floor.
- Mercociudades Science, Technology, and Training Thematic Unit Meeting: September 8 at the Conference Center, 1.5th floor.
- i+i Challenge: Girls in Tech Driving a Smart and Inclusive Montevideo: September 8 in the Ernesto de los Campos Room, 2nd floor.
The event will be open to the general public.
Those interested in participating should fill out a registration form where they can choose which seminar, talk, meeting, or conference to attend.
1st Open Science Forum for Latin America and the Caribbean
In addition, the First Open Science Forum – Latin America and the Caribbean (CILAC 2016) will take place from September 7 to 9 at the facilities of the Technological Laboratory of Uruguay (LATU) and at various locations throughout the city.
Some topics to be discussed include:
- Science policies
- Universities for Development
- Fostering Science and Citizenship
- Science for the 2030 Agenda
- Science for Business Innovation
This event also requires advance registration.

- Science Stand-Up
- Interactive fairs (Latitud Ciencia Fair and efiCIENCIA Exhibition)
- Music and Science (Scientific Beatlemania)
- Molecular Cuisine
- Science Trivia with Diego Golombek
- Educational Robotics Activities at MEC Centers
- Chess Tournament and Lessons
- The second “Science Slam Festival,” a competition featuring scientific monologues aimed at breaking down the barriers between science and society, was held.
