The ORT-16mm program was established through an agreement between the School of Communication at Universidad ORT Uruguay the companies Montrasi and Kodak.
ORT-16 mm aims to promote the use of 16 mm film, a format introduced by Eastman Kodak in 1923.
Students and alumni from Universidad ORT Uruguay are participating in the program.
In this first round, four projects—out of a total of sixty—were selected through a competitive process and developed as co-productions with Universidad ORT Uruguay.
This first installment and exhibition allowed a group of approximately twenty students and graduates of the Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual and Film Communication to supplement their academic training through the use of the aforementioned film format.
The short films presented were: *El contrato*, directed by Oscar Estévez; *The Puf Movie*, directed by Lucía Jacob; *La figlia*, directed by Leonardo Cachón; and *Un hombre feliz*, directed by Carlos A. Morelli.
