Secondary Education for All: Challenges for the 21st Century

The event featured the participation of Dr. Denise Vaillant, academic secretary of the Institute of Education.

To create a space for reflection and discussion of new ideas and initiatives, as well as to analyze the educational policies promoted by the Secondary Education Council (CES).

These are some of the objectives of the seminar titled “Secondary Education for All: Challenges for the 21st Century,” organized by the CES in collaboration with UNICEF.

During the event, various national and international experts will give presentations and share papers related to the seminar’s main themes:

  • The Institutional Mission of Secondary Education Today.
  • Curriculum renewal.
  • Assessment and monitoring of educational pathways.
  • Teacher professional development.

Dr. Denise Vaillant, academic secretary of the Institute of Education, will be one of the speakers at the panel on teacher professional development.

The event will take place on Friday, November 4, 2016, starting at 8:00 a.m., in the Vaz Ferreira Room of the National Library (1790 18 de Julio Street).

Although it is open to the general public, advance registration is required.
