The LISTO Project (Latin American and European Cooperation on Innovation and Entrepreneurship) is organizing a virtual meeting via Zoom this year on April 21 and 23 and May 7 and 8, 2020. On this occasion, some 30 participants from the 10 partner universities will continue the project with the aim of supporting the university community in fostering an entrepreneurial spirit and environment, through the analysis of existing ideas and activities and the discussion of strategies.
The topic in question is "Entrepreneurial University," the final area of focus proposed by the project. Representing Universidad ORT Uruguay Enrique Topolansky, director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), and Laura Diaz Arnesto, coordinator of Academic Projects.
The LISTO project is carried out by a consortium of three universities in Europe (Uppsala University (Sweden) (coordinator), the University of Valladolid (Spain), and the University of Groningen (Netherlands)); three universities in Brazil (Federal University of Pernambuco, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, and University of São Paulo), two in Argentina (National University of Córdoba and National University of the Littoral), and two in Uruguay (Catholic University of Uruguay and Universidad ORT Uruguay). It is also co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ Program.
The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the role of the participating Latin American universities as drivers of sustainable growth and innovation in society.
has key areas: strengthening ties between academia and the business sector, sharing best practices to improve outcomes in teaching entrepreneurship and innovation, and fostering an entrepreneurial culture at the university.
