ORT's Academic Coordinator Leads a Seminar and an International Conference

Isidoro Hodara, an economist and academic coordinator of the Graduate Program in International Studies, led a seminar and gave a lecture on foreign trade and regional integration.

On the one hand, the seminar titled "Mercosur and Its Engagement with the Andean Community of Nations," held on July 7 and 8, 2003, in Quito, was organized by the Ecuadorian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI).

In addition, on July 9, 2003, the School of Management and Social Sciences held a conferencetitled "Regional Integration and International Negotiations in Uruguay: So Far from Everyone Else, Yet So Close to Argentina and Brazil."

The conference was organized at the request of the Mexican Embassy in Uruguay and was aimed at a group of students from the Monterrey Institute of Technology (ITESM) who were visiting Uruguay.

On both occasions,Isidoro Hodara was in charge of leading and conducting the meetings.
