The event, which took place on April 18, was attended by the President of the Republic, Dr. Luis Lacalle Pou, as well as various representatives of the national government, embassies, and religious organizations, along with members and institutions of the Uruguayan Jewish community.
The commemoration marked the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and the rebellion at the Treblinka extermination camp.
