Coordinator presented a paper at the European Conference on Advances in Databases and Information Systems

October 26, 2022
Alejandro Adorjan, M.Sc., associate academic coordinator of Systems Engineering at the School of Engineering, presented the article “Human-in-the-loop-based data exploration and curation for supporting hybrid research methodologies” via an online presentation.

According to Adorjan, “the main research question of this study concerns how to design HITL (human-in-the-loop) workflows that enable the semi-automation of hybrid research methods, including the querying, exploration, and selection of data collections.”

The proposal aims to help improve techniques for exploring and analyzing datasets in the context of data-driven hybrid research strategies.

The presentation was given at the Doctoral Consortium (DC) of the 26th European Conference on Advances in Databases and Information Systems, under the guidance of Regina Motz from the University of the Republic (Uruguay) and Genoveva Vargas-Solar from the National Center for Scientific Research (France).

This research is part of an applied research project supported by the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII) in Uruguay.
