The event was organized by the Jean Monnet Thinking Europe module of the Bachelor's Program in International Studies at ORT's School of Management and Social Sciences.
The challenges and opportunities of current relations were addressed, concluding with a general discussion of the lessons for Latin American countries.
The webinar was divided into two sessions: a morning session—“China-EU Relations: History, Economy, and Politics”—moderated by Diego Telias, associate coordinator of the Bachelor’s Program in International Studies, featuring Laia Comerma (Barcelona Institute of International Studies, Spain), Eugenio Sánchez (Sciences Po, Paris), and Pablo Ampuero Ruiz (University of Amsterdam, Netherlands) as guest panelists.
The afternoon session—“Strategic Competition: China, the United States, and the European Union”—was also moderated by Telias and featured guest panelists María Francesca Staiano (National University of La Plata, Argentina) and Francisco Urdinez (Catholic University of Chile).
