The unprecedented situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has raised a number of questions about the future of the economy and the real estate market at the local, regional, and global levels. The most frequently asked question is: Will this affect consumer behavior and business models in the real estate sector?
To address this and other concerns, on July 18, 2020, the academic coordinator of the Specialization Diploma in Real Estate Business, Daniel Porcaro, gave a lecture titled “The Far-Reaching Changes in the Real Estate Sector.”
The presentation began by raising additional questions: How will this affect business in general, and what scenarios can we anticipate for Uruguay? What factors should we take into account?
Porcaro stated that we must identify trends arising from the situation and reflect on the current data through both individual and collective actions.
