Two years ago, *Anales de Investigación en Arquitectura* embarked on a process of growth and improvement aimed at increasing its visibility, impact, and international reach. During this period, it has been included in national, regional, and international databases such as ARLA, Latindex, Scielo, DOAJ, Dialnet, ERIH Plus, and Redib, among others, with Scopus being the final goal of this process.
Scopus is an international database with significant global influence. Launched by Elsevier in 2004, it contains 24,500 journal titles and 5,000 publishers across approximately 140 countries. It has become an essential resource for academics and researchers due to the breadth and rigor of its content.
Scientific journals included in Scopus must undergo a peer-review process, have citations in various types of publications, and demonstrate an impact in the academic community. The editorial board must have peer-reviewed publications, and the scientific committee must be composed of recognized professionals in the journal’s areas of expertise.
Currently, only nine architecture journals in Latin America are indexed in Scopus: five published in Chile (Revista INVI, AUS, Hábitat Sustentable, Revista 180, and ARQ), two in Brazil (Urbe and Arquitecturarevista), one in Colombia (Módulo Arquitectura CUC), and one in Mexico (Contexto). Anales de Investigación en Arquitectura becomes the tenth architecture journal to join this group of publications.
A much-needed magazine for the region
This indexing represents an opportunity for the growth of scientific publications in the region. *Anales de Investigación en Arquitectura* was founded with the aim of serving as a platform for the exchange and dissemination of research in the field of architecture—a journal that is truly open to everyone.
The journal publishes approximately 25 articles per year and accepts submissions in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, with the aim of covering the region. Its purpose is to disseminate research advances in the fields of architecture, urban planning, landscape architecture, and sustainability.
It publishes research articles, essays, literature reviews, catalogs of works, and original case studies. It is open to architecture schools and the community of researchers, professionals, academics, and the general public.
It is digital, open access, and available on its website.
