In the article, he highlighted a series of best practices, although he notes that while there is no single path toward more sustainable universities, “efforts must be made in that direction, breaking down barriers and fostering buy-in from the university community.”
He also reviewed the progress made by Universidad ORT Uruguay this area. From its inception in 2016, with the recycling of paper, cardboard, and PET plastic bottles, to the present day, when the university was included in a ranking (THE Impact Rankings) that evaluates performance based on the United Nations’ (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
