The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers is hosting conferences at ORT

In May, two conferences were held at the School of Engineering, organized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

On May 6, the conference "Electric Power Markets, International Exchanges, Integration, and Shared Use of Transmission Networks" took place, organized by the IEEE Uruguay Power Chapter.

The speakers at this event were Alfredo Piria, an engineer from the Regulatory Unit for Energy and Water Services, and Álvaro Brandino and Marcelo Petruccelli, engineers from the School of Engineering at the University of the Republic.

In addition, on May 12, the conference "Linux Server Cluster" was held, led by Mario Bonilla, a Unix systems administrator specializing in communications, Internet services, and security.

This event was organized by the IEEE Computer Society, the Linux Users Group of Uruguay, and the ORT School of Engineering.
