The project "Structural Characterization of Nailed Laminated Wood Panels Made from Fast-Growing Species for Housing Production," led by Dr. Laura Moya, architect, professor, and researcher at the School of Architecture at Universidad ORT Uruguay, was submitted to the 2019 call for proposals of the María Viñas Fund. Category 1, of the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII), and was accepted for funding.
The project will last 24 months and will be carried out in collaboration with Fundación Latitud, the Department of Forest Materials and Products at LATU, and the Materials Testing Institute of the UDELAR School of Engineering.
The María Viñas Applied Research Fund is designed to fund applied research projects in all fields of study. has categories, which are opened on an alternating basis each year.
The purpose of this fund is to support projects that result in original work contributing to the concrete solution of a problem of national importance.
