In January 2018, the School of Management and Social Sciences became a full member of the European Foundation for Management Development.

In January 2018, theSchool of Management and Social Sciences became a full member ofthe European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), one of the world’s most prestigious accrediting bodies for business schools, programs, universities, and online courses.

EFMD is a forum for information, research, networking, and discussion on innovation and best practices in management development, has in the Americas, Asia, Belgium, and Brussels. It comprises 900 academic, public service, and consulting organizations, as well as companies from 88 countries.

Some of the activities carried out by EFMD include:

• Coordinating projects and activities to foster dialogue and exchange between businesses and academic institutions;
• Generating new ideas for the continuous improvement of management theory and practice;
• Disseminating knowledge through its network for the benefit of its members;
• Managing international projects across four different continents;
• managing EQUIS, EPAS, CLIP, EOCCS, BSIS, and EDAF accreditations with the aim of improving the quality of management education.
