Students, teachers, and staff members all joined in the event, which was filled with conversation, games, and fun.
The event was organized jointly by the student representatives, a group of students, interested faculty members, and the Student Affairs Office.
The tournament was organized by chess master Bernardo Roselli, a 21-time Uruguayan champion, and officiated by Sabrina De San Vicente, both of whom highlighted the positive atmosphere of the event and the friendly interaction among the participants.
First place was awarded to systems engineering student Mateo Costa, and second place to professor Eduardo Cuitiño.
In addition, for those who didn't care for pawns and knights, there was a section with board games, allowing anyone interested to join in.
