Audiovisual media is all about storytelling. And over the course of our more than 20-year history, hundreds of fictional works have been created. This Monday, March 12, the School of Communication and Design invited the public to revisit five of them—works well worth sharing alongside their creators. These are moments of creativity born from hours of brainstorming, production, filming, and teamwork.

"It was a gathering of students from different generations, showcasing some of the best short films of recent years, which served to bring together students and graduates who share the same way of thinking about and experiencing cinema," said Gerardo Castelli, academic coordinator of the Audiovisual Universidad ORT Uruguay at Universidad ORT Uruguay.

On Monday evening, about 40 people gathered on the college terrace to enjoy the following audiovisual presentations:

During the development and production of the shorts, they received support from tutors in cinematography, directing, and production. This program ran from 2003 to 2011, until it was replaced by ORT Digital.

The film was produced by María Zanocchi, with Guzmán Fernández serving as director of photography. It was made in 2004 and tells the story of a man’s memories of his father, who was a pilot.
