María Noel Donatti, Retail Education Executive at L’Oréal, explained why she decided to study Marketing Analysis at Universidad ORT Uruguay, how the program prepared her for the professional challenges she faces, and what was the most valuable lesson she learned during her time as an ORT student.
Why did you decide to study Marketing Analysis at ORT?
I had previously studied business administration, and I felt that becoming a marketing analyst would complement my career and add value to it.
What is the most valuable thing you learned during your studies?
We live in an era that has been completely transformed by the internet and technological advancements, which has made some professions somewhat outdated. However, this is not the case for marketing analysts.
That’s what stands out most to me about having completed this degree program: more and more companies are recognizing the value of this profession and believe that a career as a marketing analyst can be the ideal path to achieving their goals.
What has your career path been like?
Before pursuing my degree in Marketing Analysis, the roles I held were more administrative in nature. Since graduating, the positions I’ve held have been more focused on this field. I am currently on the career path I had hoped for.
What is your current employment situation?
I work for L’Oréal Travel Retail Americas. I hold the position of Retail Education Executive, where I am responsible for training sales staff at duty-free shops throughout Latin America on sales techniques, product details, new product launches, and event planning for the company’s specific beauty brands.
You hold a position of great responsibility. How did your degree in Marketing Analysis prepare you for this role?
It gave me the tools to navigate a rapidly changing and dynamic market in an innovative and modern way.
How do you apply the knowledge you've gained in your work?
I have developed a comprehensive approach to my work that integrates virtual and technological elements with creativity and education.
I see them as an opportunity to build a brand, promote an idea, and make an impact with a message that resonates with thousands of people.
