Twenty students from theUSAC (University Studies Abroad Consortium) program began their courses on January 29, 2018, at the university’s Pocitos campus. Over the course of an academic semester, they take classes in Spanish language, Uruguayan and Latin American culture and history, and participate in various recreational and cultural integration activities. Both the courses and the recreational activities are conducted under the agreement that Universidad ORT Uruguay with the U.S. institution.
USAC is an organization that promotes study abroad programs for college students. It is made up of 30 universities in the United States and is headquartered at the University of Nevada.
