This event was organized by the Typography I course in the Bachelor of Graphic Design program at the Universidad ORT Uruguay, under the supervision of professors Fernando Díaz and Avril Ponce de León.
The exhibition featured works by students Valentina Alzugaray, Iara Carabajal, Tatiana Di Sisto, Martina Duarte, Luca Kalpokas, Valentina Mazzei, Valentina Sabbatini, Nazareno Saravia, and Agustina Urioste.
Each student's poster was designed to focus on typography while also highlighting how this element interacts with composition and color to convey the underlying message.
The topics addressed contemporary social issues, using the commemoration of significant dates or initiatives related to the fight against these issues as a starting point.
Some of these topics included gender issues, the environment, equality, and social inclusion.
Through their graphic designs, the students sought to demonstrate the transformative power of typographic design as a vehicle for change and an agent of social awareness.
